AIMS
For upliftment of woman AMWA, believes in providing full assistance to woman in need to empower them economically, socially, morally and emotionally. We believe that in order to empower woman, we need to educate woman to know about their rights, focus on education, for their self-respect, dignity and their worth in the society. We want them do be self-reliant by providing funds through Micro Finance Scheme for their small business.
Our aim is to support woman economically, socially, make them self reliant by creating opportunities for their lively hood.
- To provide counseling to woman in distress through 24 hours telephonic helpline.
- To prevent marital discord between spouses and families by counselling them through face-to-face interaction and preventing divorce and seprartions.
- To provied free legal, social nad moral support to woman during court cases in order to achieve justic to them.
- To inspire and include youth to help for the welfare of the society.
- To conduct seminars, classes for awareness for communal harmoney, family planning, gender equality, health and issues regarding windows and orphans.
- To support riot victims by encouraging and counseling them from time to time come out of trauma and help them by giving assistance in various situation
- To establish Library and provide useful reading material to enhance their knowledge.
For the upliftment of under privileged women, few educated women founded AMWA-Ahmedabad Muslim Women’s Association in 1991. It was registered as a Public Trust No: …. under Public Trust act……………. We began our journey by focusing on distress women by giving them all kind of support. With the help of Government initiative, we have various schemes like Mahila Marg Darshak, Yuvti Vikas Kendra, 24 Hrs. Women Helpline, wherein we provide full assistance to women in need to empower them economically, socially, morally and emotionally and make them self reliant by creating opportunities for their lively hood.
We make them self-sufficient by providing funds through Our Micro Finance Scheme, wherein, we collect Zakat from people and distribute amongst needy women for their small businesses..
In Our 24 hrs women’s telephonic helpline, we offer counseling to women in distress and try to avoid marital discord between spouses and families by counseling them through face-to-face interaction and preventing divorce and separations and also give free legal, social and moral support to women during court cases in order to achieve justice to them.
We also conduct awareness Programme for communal harmony, family planning, gender equality, health and issues regarding widows and orphans
We have AMWA centres at Dhanduka and Kalol and multi activity seminars are organized in these institutions to bring awareness amongst women and to make effective presentation of their problems. We work hand in hand with other NGO’s for Peace and Harmony.
